|I would like to introduce my Westies and Scotties as well as myself.|
My name is Ulrike Ortwein (formerly Bode).
In Merkelbeek, in the southern tip of The Netherlands, a great desire awakened in us 1991 to own a West Highland White Terrier.
Mr. Torsten Himmrich made that dream come true.
Fellow White Virgin, nicknamed Gini, became the "little sister" to our children Kerstin and Maik.
Nine months later the Paas family from Munstergeleen, who own the Croftburn kennel, entrusted us with little Joy (Croftburn Nollaig Greann).
The Paas family taught me how to groom, show, and breed Westies.
After moving to Brunssum (NL) my desire grew to establish my own kennel.
Both girls scored well at the shows, so a kennel registration was requested and granted, igniting a passion that continues to last.
Later the two were joined by Sovereign Santos’s sire Dutchi (Sovereign Santos Ambassador) from Daniela Streibl, and after relocating to Germany we added Lilly (Sovereign Santos She´s Sidney).
Vencu (From Dash Mountain Farm´s Jimmy Jo) and Diva (From Dash Mountain Farm´s Dutch Diva), both from Gerda van Stuivenberg-Bulters in The Netherlands, are my first Scottish Terriers, who – along with Westie offspring Missy, Ruby and Haylee – now complete our family.
My heartfelt gratitude to Torsten Himmrich, Els Paas, Daniela Streibl and Gerda van Stuivenberg for entrusting me with their little darlings, and for their help, trust, and friendship.
I see showing as a challenge, and excellent puppies as my goal.
Occasionally, we have puppies available that were lovingly raised at home.
